Shane called again....

I think Shane could tell my heart stopped when I heard that. I guess there is a point where I realize he is in a combat zone, however I do not enjoy it right in my face. He called this morning though and made sure I was ok and to let me know he was still ok. It was really nice to talk to him again, should hear from him again in a few days. He is so strong......I am glad I married such a strong man. He is making plans for our future so that is good! He can't wait to come home, now I just need to plan a vacation for the two of us and keep working a lot and saving money! We are doing pretty good at that!!So we have some positives to look at he is over the half way point in Afghanistan so they say. He then has about 3 weeks of classes in Okinawa before he can come home to me....which will be a pain in the butt but well worth the wait. So we are not looking for him to be home more like end of July/beginning of August!!
I am at Shane's parents house watching their dog. Which now i realize how much work puppies are so I am not thinking that we are going to have one for some time now or atleast until Shane comes home so that he can watch the little guy!!
Tonight Grandma is having her dad and her two brothers and their wives over for dinner!! We made spice cake and Shane loves spice cake!! So I am kind of excited!! Grandma and Grandpa Morgan took me to The Cellar it has to be Idaho Falls' best restaurant....I am in LOVE with it. I had a Pork Chop stuffed with ham and gouda cheese! It was soooo good. It was for Shane's birthday! They are sooo sweet.
I guess you just always have to look on the positive side of things when things get a little rough. Shane is tougher then I am and he is ok. So I again just need to trust in him and his guys that they will keep each other safe.

i hate bombs can i tell you this...especially when they are going off when I am talking to my husband. Even though he warned me, I still immidiatly went to tears....tried to hide it and did fairly well at it....he is in a panic almost asking me if i am ok....cause i won't answer him and he knows that it will freak me out. But he made me say ok, and told me he loved me and i told him i loved him and he said he'd call tonight...today was his birthday....so thats good. He was happy....however i am paranoid to the most extreme but he is good at what he does and has a good group of guys with him and thats all i can rely on. I miss him....

Small update

Vday was as good as it could be. I worked all day and then went home! Sunday I made dinner for Shane's family, so now they are starting to see that I really can cook! I also made a carmel chocolate cake! IT WAS GREAT!

Work is going well...I absolutely love it. I drive a lot and I do not enjoy the weather but I am doing well this year.

Shane should be calling in a few days, I miss him But he is doing well.

My new job!

So I LOVE my new job, however I am going into homes that are not the nicest, however some are. But I am SUPER excited for it and can't wait for it to all begin. I worked 40 hours this week which I am WAY excited about.

Well here is a new pick of Shane and his Uncle Scott in Afghanistan... i love him!! He looks cold!

So... I GOT A J - O - B!

So friends I finally got a job as a Psycosocial Rehabilitation Worker and I am SOOOOOO EXCITED!

Also today...Shane's Uncle got to see him...and no one knew that Shane was his nephew. SO in a meeting that his uncle who is a Lt. Col. (way up there for you non military peeps) he had a HUGE meeting. Well the brought up a Sgt Hayes (my fabulous husband) and everyone loved him. They were talking him up and no one knew his Uncle was his Uncle. SO I was very please. I guess he is up for a meterious (spelling sorry) promotion- which I guess you are usually a Sgt. for atleast 2-4 years before becoming a Staff Segent(CORY could tell me more about this) ....SO BASICALLY MY HUSBAND IS THE ISH...hahaha kidding but not really. I guess this type of promotion is kind of unheard of at his rank...so i am bragging about my husband but I love him dearly and miss him more....

Oh and another tide bit of knowledge MY HUSBAND CAN DO OVER 35 DEAD HANG PULL UPS..... I am thinking I need to go to the gym more!
